journey_480“The Journey” is Living Springs’ commitment to read a chapter of the Bible every day. We all follow the same reading schedule so that we can encourage each other along the way. And our pastors post occasional blogs about the readings to instruct and inspire us.

Want to join? This week’s daily readings are listed below, along with questions to guide your reading. To receive each week’s readings in your email, sign up for the Journey blog!

 Zechariah 7

Who did the people really fast, eat, and drink for during their 70 year captivity?  What did God require more than fasting?

 Zechariah 8

Who will come to Jerusalem to pray before God?  How many people from other nations will serve the Lord?  What does God want his people to do?

 Zechariah 9

What will destroy the power of Tyre among the people?  How will Israel’s king come into the city of Jerusalem?  Who is this king?  How will God defend us with sling stones?

 Zechariah 10

Who were the shepherds who were not leading the sheep?  Who is the cornerstone that will come from Judah?  What are the waves of the sea?

 Zechariah 11

What is the fire that will devour the cedars?  What did the two staffs represent?  What prophesy is foretold concerning the 30 pieces of silver?

 Zechariah 12

How is Jerusalem a heavy stone for the nations?  Who do the governors of Judah represent?  Who does Judah represent whom God will save first?  How is the Spirit of grace and supplication poured out on the house of David?  How is God pierced? For whom will the people mourn?
