journey_480“The Journey” is Living Springs’ commitment to read a chapter of the Bible every day. We all follow the same reading schedule so that we can encourage each other along the way. And our pastors post occasional blogs about the readings to instruct and inspire us.

Want to join? This week’s daily readings are listed below, along with questions to guide your reading. To receive each week’s readings in your email, sign up for the Journey blog!

 1 John 4

What is a sure way to identify a false spirit?  How do Antichrists speak?  How can anyone see God?  What must we confess to abide in God?  What must we do to abide in God?

 1 John 5

What is the love of God that shows our love for others?  Why are his commandments not burdensome?  How is Jesus identified by the water, the blood, and the Spirit?  Why did John write this to believers?  What are sins that lead to death?  What are sins that do not lead to death?  What did Jesus come to do for God?  Who is the true one?  How are we in him?

 2 John

What commandment do we have from the Father?  According to John, what is love?  In what way were some deceivers and an antichrist?  What did John fear they could lose?  What should we do when someone brings a doctrine not taught by the apostles?

 3 John

What should we do for those who labor for the gospel?  What do we become if we help in any way those who labor in the gospel?  What problems did Diotrephes create?  What should we imitate?  Who has not seen God?
