by Living Springs Community Church on October 9, 2015

journey_480“The Journey” is Living Springs’ commitment to read a chapter of the Bible every day. We all follow the same reading schedule so that we can encourage each other along the way. And our pastors post occasional blogs about the readings to instruct and inspire us.

Want to join? This week’s daily readings are listed below, along with questions to guide your reading. To receive each week’s readings in your email, sign up for the Journey blog!

 Jeremiah 13

What did the ruined sash represent?  What do the full wine bottles represent?  What led to the people’s captivity?

 Jeremiah 14

Why is God the Hope of Israel? How were the prophets lying to the people?

 Jeremiah 15

What four forms of destruction would come upon Judah?  How would death, famine, the sword, and captivity come upon the people?  What was God’s message to Jeremiah’s self-pity?

 Jeremiah 16

Why did God bring disaster on His people?  How are these people worse than their forefathers?  Who are the fishermen and hunters who would be sent to Israel?  Who would come to know God is real during Israel’s captivity?

 Jeremiah 17

How did God view His people who faithfully served Him?  What tree and fruit did the people want to destroy?

 Jeremiah 18

What is the significance of the potter and the clay?  What will God do when a nation repents of their evil ways?  How did the people attack Jeremiah?  Who were the evil neighbors that God would punish?  What opportunity would the surrounding nations have unwanted by God?
