July 27 – August 1, 2015

by Living Springs Community Church on July 24, 2015

journey_480“The Journey” is Living Springs’ commitment to read a chapter of the Bible every day. We all follow the same reading schedule so that we can encourage each other along the way. And our pastors post occasional blogs about the readings to instruct and inspire us.

Want to join? This week’s daily readings are listed below, along with questions to guide your reading. To receive each week’s readings in your email, sign up for the Journey blog!

 Isaiah 61

Who was appointed to preach to the people?  What are the people told about the ruins of the city?  Who will become part of these people?

 Isaiah 62

Who are the watchmen of God?  How long will the watchmen watch?  What is the banner for the people?

 Isaiah 63

What does Edom and Bozrah represent?  To what does the bloodstain refer?  What did Isaiah declare about God?  Why did God turn against His people?  What did Isaiah remember about the time of Moses?  How did Israel stray from God?  What do the people feel they are not part of any longer?

 Isaiah 64

Why did Isaiah want the mountains to shake?  Who does God help?  Why was Israel’s righteousness like filthy rags?

 Isaiah 65

What nation did not seek God but was found by Him?  What nation rebelled against God?  What will be the length of our lives in the new earth?

 Isaiah 66

Who does God look upon and help?  How did God look upon the sacrifices and offerings of the people?
