journey_480“The Journey” is Living Springs’ commitment to read a chapter of the Bible every day. We all follow the same reading schedule so that we can encourage each other along the way. And our pastors post occasional blogs about the readings to instruct and inspire us.

Want to join? This week’s daily readings are listed below, along with questions to guide your reading. To receive each week’s readings in your email, sign up for the Journey blog!

 Isaiah 49

Who was called from the womb to become a sharp sword?  Where has he been hidden?  What would be the servant’s duty to God?  Who is the servant’s strength?  To whom would the servant be a light?  How would God help in the acceptable time?  How will God still remember his people, Israel?  Why did Israel wonder about the children?  What did God say of the Gentiles?

 Isaiah 50

From what would the servant not hide?  Who are we to trust when we are in darkness?  Who are those who kindle a fire and encircle themselves with it?  What will God do to them?

 Isaiah 51

Who should not fear the reproach and insults of men?  What will be removed from God’s people?

 Isaiah 52

Who are the watchmen who will sing together?  Who is the servant who will be exalted?  How will the servant’s appearance be marred?

 Isaiah 53

How will the servant grow like a tender plant and as a root out of dry ground?  What will the Lord lay on the servant?

 Isaiah 54

How long did God forsake His people?  Even though God’s kindness will not depart from us, what will be removed?  For who are all the promises and kindness of God?
