journey_480“The Journey” is Living Springs’ commitment to read a chapter of the Bible every day. We all follow the same reading schedule so that we can encourage each other along the way. And our pastors post occasional blogs about the readings to instruct and inspire us.

Want to join? This week’s daily readings are listed below, along with questions to guide your reading. To receive each week’s readings in your email, sign up for the Journey blog!

 Isaiah 43

Who do the rivers and waters represent?  What does the fire represent?  Why are the people protected from the fire?  Why are people created by God?

 Isaiah 44

Who are the thirsty?  What will God pour on Israel?  What does God try to show the people about their idols?  What prophesy was given about Jerusalem and the temple?

 Isaiah 45

Who did God anoint to be His servant?  What purpose would Cyrus serve?  What nations would fall under the control of God’s servant?

 Isaiah 46

What promise did God give to Zion?

 Isaiah 47

Who was God going to bring down?  Why?  Who would the people turn to that would become as stubble?

 Isaiah 48

Why did God warn Israel early?  Why would God put his people in the furnace of affliction?  How is God the first and the last?  Who is sent by God and His spirit?  How could the people have had peace and righteousness?
