by Living Springs Community Church on June 26, 2015

journey_480“The Journey” is Living Springs’ commitment to read a chapter of the Bible every day. We all follow the same reading schedule so that we can encourage each other along the way. And our pastors post occasional blogs about the readings to instruct and inspire us.

Want to join? This week’s daily readings are listed below, along with questions to guide your reading. To receive each week’s readings in your email, sign up for the Journey blog!

 Isaiah 37

What led to the downfall of Assyria?  What would be the sign to Hezekiah that God was with them?  How many Assyrians were killed by an angel of the Lord?  What happened to the Assyrian king?

 Isaiah 38

How many years did God add to Hezekiah’s life?  What was the sign given to Hezekiah that he would live?

 Isaiah 39

To whom did Hezekiah entertain and show his treasures?  What did God reveal to Hezekiah about Babylon?

 Isaiah 40

Who would God exalt and humble?  What question did God ask the people of Himself?  What does God never become?  Who does God help?  What is the promise for those who wait on the Lord?

 Isaiah 41

Who has empowered a nation and made it rule over kings?  What nation was empowered?  How is God the first and the last?  What does God ask the people to bring forth?

 Isaiah 42

Who is the servant that God would send?  What did God put upon Him?  What would God do with the one He will call in righteousness?  What would the servant become to the people?  Who are the people in prison and darkness?  What did God expect from the people and would not give to another?  What things will God dry up and lay waste?
