by Living Springs Community Church on June 19, 2015

journey_480“The Journey” is Living Springs’ commitment to read a chapter of the Bible every day. We all follow the same reading schedule so that we can encourage each other along the way. And our pastors post occasional blogs about the readings to instruct and inspire us.

Want to join? This week’s daily readings are listed below, along with questions to guide your reading. To receive each week’s readings in your email, sign up for the Journey blog!

 Isaiah 31

What would be the result of those who did not trust in God?  What would the Lord be like for those who trust in Him?  How did the Assyrians fail not by sword?

 Isaiah 32

What will be the way of the people when God rules their lives?  How will the people perceive the foolish and the evil person?  When will the people stop mourning and become a fruitful forest?  Even during troubled times, how can God’s people dwell?

 Isaiah 33

Who is the plunderer?  Who are the people who will be afraid in Zion?  Who in Zion will not be afraid of the devouring fire?

 Isaiah 34

How will the host of heaven be dissolved and the heavens rolled up?  Who does Edom represent?  What is the book that was searched?

 Isaiah 35

What type of people will not be in the new land, the highway of holiness?  Why will the fool or simple minded person not go astray?

 Isaiah 36

What did the leader of the Assyrian army accuse Hezekiah of doing against God?  Who did the commander of the Assyrian army say had sent him?  How could you tell that this army leader did not believe in God?
