by Living Springs Community Church on May 22, 2015

journey_480“The Journey” is Living Springs’ commitment to read a chapter of the Bible every day. We all follow the same reading schedule so that we can encourage each other along the way. And our pastors post occasional blogs about the readings to instruct and inspire us.

Want to join? This week’s daily readings are listed below, along with questions to guide your reading. To receive each week’s readings in your email, sign up for the Journey blog!

 Isaiah 7

Who is prophesied in verse 14?  Why would the son eat curds and honey?  What would happen before the child knew to refuse evil and choose good?

 Isaiah 8

What does this son of Isaiah represent?  Who should the people fear and dread?  Who were they not to call on?

 Isaiah 9

Who is the child that is born to bear the government on his shoulders?  Why would God then be called wonderful, counselor, mighty God?  Who are the head and the tail?  What was in the hearts of the people?

 Isaiah 10

Who did God use to deliver His wrath on Israel?  Why would God destroy Assyria?

 Isaiah 11

Who is the rod or branch that will come from the stem of Jesse?  What characteristics will He possess?  What do the animals represent in verses 6-8?

 Isaiah 12

What will be the people’s attitude toward God in the day of salvation?
