journey_480“The Journey” is Living Springs’ commitment to read a chapter of the Bible every day. We all follow the same reading schedule so that we can encourage each other along the way. And our pastors post occasional blogs about the readings to instruct and inspire us.

Want to join? This week’s daily readings are listed below, along with questions to guide your reading. To receive each week’s readings in your email, sign up for the Journey blog!

 1 Corinthians 13

What can a person do that will be useless or unprofitable without charity?  What is charity and what does it do?  What isn’t charity and what doesn’t it do?

 1 Corinthians 14

What should be your motivation if you desire spiritual gifts?  What two types of praying are mentioned?  What shows that Paul does not mean to belittle speaking in tongues?

 1 Corinthians 15

How is the gospel defined?  What appearances of Jesus after His resurrection are mentioned in this chapter?  Why did Paul feel unworthy to be called an apostle?

 1 Corinthians 16

What financial matter is dealt with?  What did Paul hope to do that winter?  Why did Paul plan to stay at Ephesus for a time?

 2 Corinthians 1

How did Paul describe God?  For what reason does God comfort us?  Whether he was afflicted or  comforted, how did Paul believe it would benefit the Corinthian church?

 2 Corinthians 2

In what spirit did Paul determine not to come to the Corinthian church again?  In what spirit did Paul write his previous letter to them?  What new instruction did Paul give concerning the discipline for sin?
