journey_480“The Journey” is Living Springs’ commitment to read a chapter of the Bible every day. We all follow the same reading schedule so that we can encourage each other along the way. And our pastors post occasional blogs about the readings to instruct and inspire us.

Want to join? This week’s daily readings are listed below, along with questions to guide your reading. To receive each week’s readings in your email, sign up for the Journey blog!

 Joshua 23

What did Joshua tell the people God would do to them if they turned from Him to serve other gods or transgressed His commandments?

 Joshua 24

How did Joshua tell the people to serve the Lord?  What choice did the people have to make toward God?  According to Joshua, why would the people not be able to serve God?

 Judges 1

In all of Israel’s conquests, what did they fail to do?  What did they elect to do with some of the inhabitants of Canaan?

 Judges 2

How did God feel about Israel’s covenant with some of the people of Canaan?  To what did Israel soon fall?  What did God raise up for Israel to help them in times of their oppression?

 Judges 3

Why were some nations yet to be  taken by Israel?  Who were the first two judges of Israel?

 Judges 4

Who was Deborah?  Why did Barak want Deborah to go with him to     battle?  What did Barak lose because of his request to Deborah?
