Journey readings:
December 23 – December 28, 2013

by Jim Tufford on December 21, 2013

“The Journey” is Living Springs’ commitment to read at least a chapter of the Bible every day. We all follow the same reading schedule so that we can encourage each other along the way. And our pastors post occasional blogs about the readings to instruct and inspire us.

Want to join the Journey? This week’s daily readings are listed below, along with some questions to guide your reading. Sign up for the Journey blog, and you’ll receive the weekly reading schedule in your email inbox!

 Romans 7

What did we leave when we became joined to Christ?  How do we serve the law now?  Apart from the Spirit, is there anything good in man?

 Romans 8

What condemnation is eliminated by Jesus?  From what are we set free in Jesus Christ?  If you do not follow the Spirit of Christ, to whom do you not belong?

 Romans 9

How do we gauge ourselves in the Holy Spirit?  Who are children of God?  Who are the children of the flesh?

 Romans 10

How were the Jews trying to be righteous?  What did Christ do to the law?  Why does Christ not need to be brought back for salvation?

 Romans 11

Why were the Jews broken off?  Who is the wild olive tree?  What has Israel’s blindness done for the Gentiles?

 Romans 12

What is our reasonable service to God?  What does renewing your mind mean?  What is our source for renewing our mind?   How did the people think more highly of themselves?
