Journey readings:
December 16 – December 21, 2013

by Jim Tufford on December 15, 2013

“The Journey” is Living Springs’ commitment to read at least a chapter of the Bible every day. We all follow the same reading schedule so that we can encourage each other along the way. And our pastors post occasional blogs about the readings to instruct and inspire us.

Want to join the Journey? This week’s daily readings are listed below, along with some questions to guide your reading. Sign up for the Journey blog, and you’ll receive the weekly reading schedule in your email inbox!

 Romans 1

What must we include with our faith as apostles of Christ? What was Paul required to do in his faith? What did Paul say was the power of salvation for the believer?

 Romans 2

Why is God long suffering with the sinner? What rewards are rendered according to our deeds? What is the sure way for eternal life?

 Romans 3

If our unrighteousness demonstrates God’s righteousness, should we continue to sin? Why are we justified freely? What previous sins had God passed over?

 Romans 4

What works is Paul referring to in verses 4 and 5? Explain these two verses. Why was Abraham’s faith accounted to him as righteousness?

 Romans 5

How are we saved by Jesus’ life? What was the gift of Jesus Christ that abounded to many? How are Adam and Christ similar? How are they different?

 Romans 6

What did we bury when we were baptized into Jesus’ death? From what are we free and no longer slaves because of our sins? How are we made alive to God in Christ?
