Journey readings:
December 9 – December 14, 2013

by Living Springs Community Church on December 6, 2013

“The Journey” is Living Springs’ commitment to read at least a chapter of the Bible every day. We all follow the same reading schedule so that we can encourage each other along the way. And our pastors post occasional blogs about the readings to instruct and inspire us.

Want to join the Journey? This week’s daily readings are listed below, along with some questions to guide your reading. Sign up for the Journey blog, and you’ll receive the weekly reading schedule in your email inbox!

 Psalm 43

From what did the psalmist want to be delivered?  With what did he want to be led?

 Psalm 44

By what means in the past did the Israelites obtain victory over the heathens?  In whom do we boast?  What seemed to be their condition at the time of this Psalm?

 Psalm 45

What did the psalmist say about his tongue?  What prophecy was given regarding the throne of Jesus?  When did the psalmist desire to make the name of the king remembered?

 Psalm 46

Who is with us and our refuge?  Where is God in the time of trouble? Who makes wars to cease?

 Psalm 47

What are some audible ways to praise the Lord?  Who reigns over the nations?

 Psalm 48

Who is great and greatly to be praised?  What should we tell about Zion to the next generation?
