Journey readings:
October 7 – October 12, 2013

by Living Springs Community Church on October 4, 2013

“The Journey” is Living Springs’ commitment to read at least a chapter of the Bible every day. We all follow the same reading schedule so that we can encourage each other along the way. And our pastors post occasional blogs about the readings to instruct and inspire us.

Want to join the Journey? This week’s daily readings are listed below, along with some questions to guide your reading. Sign up for the Journey blog, and you’ll receive the weekly reading schedule in your email inbox!

 Numbers 25

What did God tell Moses to instruct the Israelites to do?  Who was zealous for God against the sinful Israelites?  How many people died because of God’s anger?

 Numbers 26

What did God tell Moses and Eleazar to do at this time?  What was the  number of those able to go to war?  How much inheritance was determined for each tribe?

 Numbers 27

Why did the daughters of Zelophehad come before Moses?  What law did God enforce in this situation?  Who did God say would replace Moses?

 Numbers 28-29

What was the purpose for God of instructing the people of Israel about the offerings again?

 Numbers 30

If a man made a vow to God, could it be unbound?  If a woman in her father’s house makes a vow, who could break it?  If a father did not overrule his daughter’s vow, what must she do?
