Journey readings:
July 1 – July 6, 2013

by Jim Tufford on June 28, 2013

“The Journey” is Living Springs’ commitment to read at least a chapter of the Bible every day. We all follow the same reading schedule so that we can encourage each other along the way. And our pastors post occasional blogs about the readings to instruct and inspire us.

Want to join the Journey? This week’s daily readings are listed below, along with some questions to guide your reading. Sign up for the Journey blog, and you’ll receive the weekly reading schedule in your email inbox!

 Job 27

To what did Job continue to hold fast?  What is the hope of the hypocrite?  For what are the children of the wicked reserved?  What eventually happens to the possessions of the wicked?

 Job 28

How does Job compare the finding of wisdom to the finding of gold, silver, and precious stones?  How valuable  is wisdom?  How does man find wisdom?

 Job 29

What days did Job long for?  What were some of Job’s acts of righteousness?  How was Job perceived as a former chief or leader?

 Job 30

How did the people regard Job now?  Who ridiculed Job now?  What did Job receive when expecting light and goodness from God?

 Job 31

What covenant did Job make by his eyes?  What is the reward for the  wicked and the workers of iniquity?  What did Job expect if he had done anything wrong?  Why did Job want a book written of his wrongs?

 Job 32

When did Elihu begin to speak?  What did Elihu reason about the others words?  How did Elihu plan to answer Job?
