Journey readings:
May 27 – June 1, 2013

by Jim Tufford on May 24, 2013

“The Journey” is Living Springs’ commitment to read at least a chapter of the Bible every day. We all follow the same reading schedule so that we can encourage each other along the way. And our pastors post occasional blogs about the readings to instruct and inspire us.

Want to join the Journey? This week’s daily readings are listed below, along with some questions to guide your reading. Sign up for the Journey blog, and you’ll receive the weekly reading schedule in your email inbox!

 Exodus 37

Who made the Ark of the Testimony, the table for the show bread, the gold lamp stand, and the altar of incense?

 Exodus 38

Who made the altar of burnt offering, the bronze laver, and the court of the tabernacle?  What part in the construction of the tabernacle did Aholiab have?

 Exodus 39

What other items did Aholiab make?  What did the plate on the holy crown have inscribed on it?

 Exodus 40

Where was the Ark of the Testimony to be placed?  What divided the Ark of the Testimony from the tabernacle?  What was placed next, outside the Ark of the Testimony?  Where was the altar of incense placed?

 Job 1

How was Job considered before God? What had God blessed Job with?  What would Job do for his sons in fear of the Lord?   For what reason did Satan determine that Job was faithful?  What did God not allow Satan to do to Job?  What did Satan do to Job?  What was Job’s reaction to God?

 Job 2

What further harm did Satan want to try against Job? How was he limited?  With what did Satan strike Job?

The next time I am leaning towards a ‘do nothing’ day, I will read Bezalel’s story!
