Journey readings:
March 11 – March 16, 2013

by Living Springs Community Church on March 8, 2013

“The Journey” is Living Springs’ commitment to read at least a chapter of the Bible every day. We all follow the same reading schedule so that we can encourage each other along the way. And our pastors post occasional blogs about the readings to instruct and inspire us.

Want to join the Journey? This week’s daily readings are listed below, along with some questions to guide your reading. Sign up for the Journey blog, and you’ll receive the weekly reading schedule in your email inbox!

What did Hagar’s son, Ishmael, think of the weaned son?  What did Sarah tell Abraham to do with Hagar and her son?  What did God tell Hagar He would do for her son?  What was Abraham’s and Abimelech’s covenant?

 Genesis 22

Why did God tell Abraham to sacrifice his son?  Why did God know that Abraham feared Him?  How was Rebekah’s father related to Abraham?

 Genesis 23

Where did Sarah die?  Where did Abraham bury her?  Who owned the land where she was buried?

 Genesis 24

Who did Abraham send to find a wife for Isaac?  How did the servant know which woman would be the one sent by the Lord for Isaac?   What did Rebekah do when she saw Isaac?

 Genesis 25

Where was Abraham buried?  What did God tell Rebekah about the children in her womb?  What were her children’s names?  What did Esau trade with Jacob one day?

 Genesis 26

Where did Isaac go at the time of the famine in the land?  What did king Abimelech tell Isaac to do after Isaac became very rich and prosperous?   Who grieved Isaac and Rebekah? Why?
