Journey readings:
April 30 – May 5, 2012

by Living Springs Community Church on April 30, 2012

We made it! We finished Ezekiel! This week we get to read the Apostle Paul’s first letter to his young apprentice, Timothy. This week’s daily readings are listed below, along with some questions to help you pay attention.

1 Timothy 1

What did Paul tell Timothy to teach? What was Paul’s reason for persecuting the church before he met Jesus?

1 Timothy 2

Why did Paul say we should pray for all men? Who is our mediator? How did he tell the men to pray?

1 Timothy 3

Why should an overseer not be a new convert? What is the church? Who is our example of godliness?

1 Timothy 4

What is godliness good for? How could Timothy save himself and his hearers?

1 Timothy 5

What should younger widows do? What are two different types of sins?

1 Timothy 6

What does the love of money lead to? What should the rich be willing to do?

“The Journey” is Living Springs’ commitment to read at least a chapter of the Bible every day. We follow the same reading schedule so that we can encourage each other along the way. And our pastors post occasional blogs about the readings to instruct and inspire us.
